Charles Grace

I met Charles Grace because way back, I worked with a guy named Justin Hougham on a non-profit called OAR Northwest. He and his college Brant helped with the educational communication of our rowing journeys down big rivers. Often he would make it out to the Puget Sound, and we would go for a row. One time he brought another colleague, Sarah Burgess, and we went for a row. When I put out the call for musicians in the SoCal, she contacted her friend Charles Grace. Before he sang, there was a lot of laughter. He expressed this great relief to be out making his music for an audience, even if it was just Paul on the Frisky’s tiller and me with my camera-phone. We headed up a little side channel under the bridge next to the Marine Stadium, into a background of boats, cute houses, palm trees, and the dulcet tones of Charles serenading. -Jordan & Clarabelle
