Eloy Cito Gonzalez
Season 3 & Season 6 Rio Grande
Eloy Gonzales heard about tinyboatsession through a Facebook post. He’s a flamenco guitarist. We had to postpone because of a snowstorm. The day we planned to meet remained snowy. I asked him if he might be willing to come down last minute if the snow broke. He was. I’d planned to meet up with an old friend, Andra from high school, and go for a walk in by the river. Snow continued to fall and blanketed the cottonwoods and scrub. Halfway through our walk, the snow began to clear. I asked her if she would help with the canoe. I called Eloy, and he jumped at the moment. We hustled back with the canoe, and it began snowing again as we waited. We all tramped the canoe down, and Eloy filled the cold, snowy Bosque with the sounds of flamenco for an audience of two. His fingers got cold, but that didn’t stop him. When he finished, he stepped out of the canoe…and told me it was his first time in a boat. -Jordan & Clarabelle
