I know Ethan through Stella.  He was one of the musicians I'd been communicating with for weeks after she'd made some introductions.  About halfway through the afternoon, I realized he had not come. So I gave him a call and woke him from a nap.  It was a good thing, as apparently, he was having a nightmare about the river.  He is afraid of water, and this one was a doozy--he talks about it in one of his songs. When the time came for his session, it was just Ethan in the green canoe, me in the water filming, and Turtle and Logan looking like a bunch of cowboys sitting on top of the fallen redwood.  Before he started his last song, Ethan said he would overcome his fear of water and dive in after his song.  There was some hooping and hollering, and Turtle agreed to join.  I'm not sure what song was the hundredth of Tinyboatsession Season 3, but it happened along the banks of the Mad River on the first day of spring.  As the last song was sung, a musician afraid of the water and a cowboy sitting on a fallen redwood leaped into the water in celebration.  —Jordan & Clarabelle
