Noah Vargas

Humboldt Bay, Eureka California

I know Noah Luvcult because he’d heard about tinyboatsession from the folks that showed up for Season 3 in 2021 along the banks of the Mad River in Humboldt County to sing songs in Turtles green canoe.  The germ of the idea had begun a few weeks earlier in New Mexico when a musician named Stella, said ‘she knew a lot of rad musicians out where she used to live in Northern Califonia.’  The end result was not just music in tinyboats but a spontaneous Sunday afternoon party along the banks of the river that ended up with cowboys diving to cap it off.

So I don’t know exactly how Noah found out about Season 7. However, I had a feeling that if the man in green and purple was waiting by the dock under the bridge in Eureka was here to tinyboatsession.

It was a colder more blustery day than Season 3, but like season three what I thought was initially going to be 2 or 3 artists was looking to be double that.  The weather was breaking and what had been a ceiling of rain-filled clouds was starting to show sunshine and blue skies.  Some folks were waiting on the shore and I wanted to give everyone who wanted to a chance to sing before nightfall.

Noah had a great big voice.  Something about it reminded me of alt-rock in the late 90s  Though he was younger than me I felt like I could picture him on an album cover on a CD. Instagram: @luvcultbb
