I know Tom and Tony through my friend Matt. Matt and I went to high school together. I got many grand memories of high desert road trips in the back of Toms SUV to even higher mountains to go skiing and snowboarding with Matt. Years later, I performed the wedding ceremony for Matt and his wife, Karelia. Tom and Tony performed songs at the reception. When I started asking around for musicians for Tinyboatsession, I got a text from Matt and was reminded that his dad played music. Toms has been doing a fair bit online over the last year with his group called "The Easily Distracted Band." It had been about ten years since the wedding, and it felt good to reconnect. Me, knee-deep in the Rio Grande's muddy waters, Toms in a canoe, and Tony are on the shore just jamming down by the river. Life can be like an unexplored river. You don't know how long it is or how big a meander or oxbow you might encounter.
