Jolynn & Tyler of Mint Skylark

Rio Grande, Albuquerque, New Mexico

I know Jolynn Alarid through Tyler de Caussin.  Jolynn and he are part of Mint Skylark and so is (Nathanial).  After I figured out how to get a dancer on tinyboatsession I'm sure we could have figured out how to get all of them into a canoe.  That’s not the hard part, it's getting folks’ schedules to line up.

Jolynn played a song she had just produced.  They are a fun band, and the music is old-time catchy, as they say on their website, music from the atomic age. Jolynn and Tyler were the last tinyboatsession in New Mexico.  I could not believe I filmed eighteen musicians in ten days.  I felt a lot of joy through the connection with this landscape I grew up in.  I was glad to meet old friends and new friends, but the wind had picked up and I felt like it was blowing me west toward the coast.
