I met Raquel Torres through Tyler. Raquel decided she’s liked the idea of singing in a tiny boat. It was another one of those rare cloudy winter days in Albuquerque. Not too cold, or even crisp, but still far from warm. I was impressed that she wore something sleeveless, even for the few moments her songs would take. It's a good thing singing warms one up. She had three songs, and two of them especially appropriate for the location of the Rio Grande. Rio by Duran Duran mentions the river by name (is it this Rio Grande? I like to think so.) The other was "La Llorona," which is about a tragic myth tied into the river itself. -Jordan and Clarabelle
